I dont know much about cars but i got my 2010 with 72,000 miles for $10k. My 2001 Forester has about 140k miles on it. The last few years have had higher repair bills than previous years (as in $1,000 to $2,000 compared to a few hundred in the past). Some of that is probably age related and not mileage related.

The SUV delivers up to 33 MPG of EPA estimated highway fuel economy, which is very good indeed. While the Forester might be a compact SUV, the Forester has quite an impressive level of towing power. Subaru say that the Forester offers 1,500 lb worth of towing capacity, and that goes up to 3,000 lb for the Wilderness iteration of the SUV.
